WEC 47: Bowles vs Cruz Fight Card Set For This Weekend

This Saturday night, March 6, 2010, WEC descends upon the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio for the first time featuring a card packed with eleven bouts including a championship main event that will pit current bantamweight title holder Brian Bowles (8-0-0) against top contender Dominick Cruz (14-1-0).

Other notable bouts include fan favorite and longtime veteran Miguel Angel Torres (36-2-0) taking on young phenom Joseph Benavidez (11-1-0) as well as the return of former WEC lightweight champion Jens Pulver (22-12-1) who has been away from the cage for nearly a year. Pulver’s career has taken a nosedive since losing to Urijah Faber (23-3-0) in a featherweight championship bout back in 2008 but the one-time great is looking to make a final run at lightweight glory.

The VERSUS network will provide LIVE coverage starting at 10:00PM on March 6, 2010, and you can view the complete fight card below:
