Get A Look At Cyborg’s Next Opponent Erin Toughill (VIDEO)

Get A Look At Cyborg’s Next Opponent Erin Toughill (VIDEO)

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced last week during a press conference following Stirkeforce: Miami that Erin ‘Steel’ Toughill (9-1-1) would be the next combatant to challenge current champion Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Santos (10-1-0) for the women’s lightweight crown sometime over the summer. Toughill was in attendance at UFC 109: Relentless over the weekend and FightMagazine.com caught up with her to discuss the upcoming bout with Cyborg which you can view in the video below.

Fans unfamiliar with Toughill should note that she has two impressive wins on her resume over notables Gina Carano (7-1-0) and Marloes ‘Rumina’ Coenen (17-4-0), two very tough women who have both fallen victim to the maniacal Muay Thai of Cyborg in their respective title shots.

Toughill hails from Chicago, IL and is currently training alongside who husband Neil Melanson who is the lead Wrestling/Jiu-Jitsu instructor at the Xtreme Couture facility in Las Vegas, NV. Both Melanson and Toughill appear in the interview to offer their thoughts on the upcoming bout with Cyborg:
