Cung Le Wants An Immediate Rematch With Scott Smith (VIDEO)

Cung Le Wants An Immediate Rematch With Scott Smith (VIDEO)

Martial arts extraordinaire Cung ‘Bruce’ Le (6-1-0) is anxious to avenge his only professional MMA loss which came at the hands of Scott ‘Hands of Steel’ Smith (17-6-0) earlier this year as he told Strikeforce during a video interview that was released earlier today. Le stops short of saying that the bout will take place, but lets the audience know that he will be making a big announcement at the Strikeforce: Nashville event on April 17, 2010 and that the former middleweight champion will ‘be back in the cage real soon’.

Since the video was released by the promotion and features Le sporting a smirk on his face for the duration of the interview it seems fairly obvious that a Le/Smith rematch will soon be announced by Strikeforce, but take a look for yourself and let us know if you agree:

  1. Don says:

I sat down and spoke with Frank Shamrock last week for about a 1/2 hour. He said he’s looking to have a fight with Cung Le this June.. That may be on the horizon soon, and could be the April news that Cung is talking about in this video if the deal can be done with Strikeforce. I also sat backstage with the fighters at the USMF Muay Thai fights in Santa Clara on March 6th, hes looking just as fit as ever and was there to support fighters from his gym.
